Erda (yes, the German word for “Earth”)
•The planet is a little larger than the Earth. It has about the same ratio of land. The two moons make tides a little more complicated, but in general, tides are smaller than Earth’s when the moons are opposing, and larger than Earth’s when the moons are synchronized, and about the same the other times.
•The planet orbits its star slightly more slowly than the Earth does, so its year is longer. The axial tilt is about the same as Earth’s, allowing for seasons without too much disruption.
Approx 78,500 km
There are two. Luna is a grayish white moon similar to Earth’s moon, but slightly smaller. Friga is a bluish white ice moon about half the size of Luna. Luna’s orbital period is 36 days, while Friga’s is 23 days.
Given the state of magic possessed by most races, they have little incentive to develop any and so it remains limited at best for a very long time indeed. During that phase of history, the highest achievements were similar to the early Italian renaissance, without the gunpowder. Mechanical engineering exists, but is limited to architecture and civil forms due to the variety and power of magic.
The eventual change to this situation was brought about by the cooperation of the two distinctly non-magical races: gnomes and troglodytes. Eventually, their inventions become a serious challenge to magic, leading to a hybrid state which becomes quite advanced in later history.
